PA Training currently deliver SVQ’s in Social Services (Children and Young People) at levels 2,3 and 4.

We work with a number of established employers in Edinburgh and Fife providing training for staff and we also help employers recruit staff.

All candidates receive a comprehensive induction to the course and we provide a series of training days to covering a range of topics such as positive behavior, emotional wellbeing and child protection. These are held in central Edinburgh. These are supported by on-site monitoring visits by PA Training and individual meetings to help candidates gather evidence and build their portfolios. We work closely with employers to ensure development needs of individuals are met.

If you are motivated and enjoy working with young children, please contact us or complete an application form to explore opportunities. Typically candidates require to have achieved at least National 4 in English as well as in other other subjects, strong communication skills and the ability to be able to work as part of a team. No previous experience necessary but is helpful.

We can help you to find suitable employment if you are interested in working with children and under 25 years old, through the Modern Apprenticeship Programme.

Please contact Amanda Durkie for more information or complete an application form.
